Tara Lloyd is an Aboriginal woman, being both Baramadagal Dharug through the Reid / Goldspink family and Wiradjuri through the Bloomfield family. Tara is a Mum to three kids and is a member of the Murrumbidgee Dance Group.
Tara otherwise divides her time working on consultancy projects and artistic pursuits.
Consultancy
Tara holds a Bachelor of Social Work and has worked in Government and Not for Profit Organisations over the last 15 years.
Tara now enjoys working with Organisations who are genuinely committed to embedding First Nations perspectives in their strategies and developments and is open to collaborating with other practitioners in both therapeutic and consulting spaces.
Artist
Tara is an Aboriginal contemporary artist. Her digital artwork consists of bold line-work that incorporates stories that are connected to people and place, encompassing her deep cultural knowledge that she strongly believes needs to be shared with others for identity and connection to remain. Tara has commissioned digital art for ABC and the Catholic education syste as well as a number of public schools and sporting team Jersey designs.
Tara has interests in writing and poetry. Her written works reflects on personal experiences and how she views the world through her cultured lens. Tara is a weaver that uses traditional and contemporary weaving methods to create woven masterpieces, each individually sharing stories of family, connectedness and country.
